The Engineering Department is responsible for planning and implementation
of improvements to the City's Water Treatment Plant and Water Distribution
System, Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collection System, Power
Distribution System, Street Lighting, Cable TV, Cable Internet services
and all internal Information Technology (IT) needs. Professional
and technical staff members in the department provide analysis,
design, administration and inspection of construction and improvements.
The Engineering Department is also responsible for maintaining records
and maps pertaining to the water, waste water, street, storm drainage,
power and cable systems.
New driveways, sidewalks, drainage and sanitary sewer connections
within the City limits are to be approved by the Engineering Department.
All subdivision development plans are also reviewed and approved
along with the installation of the water, sewer, streets and grading
work.
